Wireless Dynamics SDiD™ 1212 Reader Selected by Texas Instruments for RFID Reliability Study.
Calgary, Alberta. - February 17, 2009 - Wireless Dynamics Inc.,
was selected by Texas Instruments to provide mobile Low Frequency RFID reader
capability for a recently completed long-term tag longevity and reliablity study.
Wireless Dynamics SDiD™ RFID products enable mobile computing devices to add
RFID capability to their feature set. Texas Instruments had a requirement to
read hundreds of RFID tags mounted in waste containers ranging in age five to
fifteen years. The combination of rugged handheld mobile computing device, and
SDiD™ 1212 RFID reader proved ideal for this project.
"Although this was a relatively simple reader project, the study required
consistently reliable tag reading to generate accurate results," said Josh
Wyatt, RFID Systems Developer for Texas Instruments. "The experience that we've
had with the Wireless Dynamics SDiD™ products has been excellent. In this case,
Wireless Dynamics even created a simple program to help us collect the data.
The handheld worked flawlessly throughout."
